FEMA Evicts 12,000

After Katrina the FEMA 'stepped up' and provided relief shelter for thousands of victims that lost their homes. Then FEMA, disaster of an agency, moved people to cities all over the USA and paid their hotel bills for them to have a place to stay. However, they are ending these payments after a few extensions this month.
I commend them for even doing anything to help these displaced victims, but this is like the our great and grand government always does the the poor. Help them a little then leave them hanging. I don't know why I am using the term poor, isn't that politically incorrect? I really can't use it anyway because Katrina waxed everyone.
Imagine being in a different region of the US, with no idea of were to turn for help. FEMA isn't that bad of a villian though, it is giving everyone a $1,800.00 check. Wow. Is $1,8000.00 enough to pay rent in NYC? When you need a place to stay, and are maybe obtaining new job skills to compete in a different employment climate $1,800 isn't near enough. If you aren't employed with some sort of degree or skill, you aren't bringing home much more than $1,800 a month. How does a government that spends so senselessly become such a heartless giver? How can you leave people within your own borders homeless but jump through hoops to support freedom and the promotion of democracy to countries that aren't really interested in that type of government throughout the world? I guess thoes affected and displaced by Katrina don't fit the profile for welfare recipients. They only give mad cash for corporate welfare. If you believe the Iraq War is for the Iraqis, you need a reality check.
